Formed joint working groups involving consultant and nursing staff and coached in ‘Lean’ systems and techniques
Developed real-time performance management systems to identify areas of delay that impacted directly on patient length of stay
Coaching of consultant led, multi-skilled action teams to develop solutions and implement improvements
Development of a clinic utilisation tool and re-setting on the clinic booking procedures with medical management and consultants
PROJECT RESULTS
Extensive buy-in to Lean principle and practices amongst clinical, nursing and administrative staff
Significant reduction in patient length of stay
Re-allocation of workloads resulting in re-distribution of staffing resources OF 20%
